testing
Indian WomanTypically, a dowry to marry a woman is a gold or money. But, some women in India not ask this common dowry. They just asked for the toilet and equipment as a dowry. This happens to women who live in rural areas. “No toilet, no bride”, become rural women campaign in India. They understand, that toilet is more important than money or gold. They also see that the toilet become a human rights issue, especially in villages that don’t have shower facilities, laundry, and latrines. "Without the toilet, women do not have privacy," as quoted by CNN.

Families that don’t have toilet, makes the women have to go before the sun rises to the river for taking bath and doing other toilet privacy activities in order not to be spied by men. Now, women don’t want their daughter lose their privacy like them. Toilet facilities is a major problem in India, would not be surprised if the government plans to build 112,000 latrines every day. Although India is called as one of the world economic power, millions of local residents are still living below the poverty line. The Government estimates, the rural population has access to latrines is less than 30%, in which this condition causes serious health risks and increase the threat of disease leading to death.
